On Saturday morning 12 October 2019, Silicon Connection had our 3rd community service partnering with One Blue Heart.
We gathered for distribution of Food Bags to selected 31 households. Prior to the distribution day, we pre-packed food items in our office for each household. The Food Bags included items such as biscuits, evaporated milk, sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, bee hoon, Milo, rice, chicken and eggs.
As a testimony to our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we made a new cotton T-shirt for Silicon Connection colleagues specifically for community service activities. This blue T-shirt is printed with our company name on the front and the slogan “Yes We Care!” on the back. Everyone looked smart in this new T-shirt and it was great for the outdoors in Singapore’s hot weather.
Some of the residents had started to recognise us during our house visits by now. It was heartening to know that the residents truly appreciated the items from us. Some of the residents were even joking with us already!
One of our Core Values is to Do Good; we believe as a company we can create a positive impact to our local community. We are committed to giving back in what little ways we can. This corporate community service is one of the ways we contribute to the society in a charitable way.
