It was founded in the mid 1960s by late Madam Lee Ah Mooi and now located at Thomson Road. The home is self funded and managed by her two sons, Mr. Then Mun Wah and Mr. Then Mun Tat.
Mr Then is a soft spoken and kind chap who brought us around that morning. Though the home looks old but the place is quiet, clean and neat. There are 100 over old folks living there. We brought each a small goodies bag consists of tooth brush, tooth paste, biscuits etc… some received it with great smiles, some were sleeping soundly, some even requesting for karaoke session while others being indifferent…
The visit was a short, about an hour but good one. Really touched by the gold-hearts of Madam Lee Ah Mooi and her sons who never give up the home after Madam Lee..
