We celebrated our Children’s Day with the children at Jamiyah Children’s Home on 3 October afternoon.
Jamiyah Children’s Home is managed by Jamiyah Singapore (Muslim Missionary Society Singapore) which is a full member of the National Council of Social Service Singapore.
Since 1993 Jamiyah Children’s Home (Darul Ma’wa) has been developing orphans and neglected children of single parents, drug detainees, abused and dysfunctional families and children with ‘special need to blossom into responsible adults. The Home was established due to the increasing number of children needing proper care, protection and attention that is lacking or absent from their own homes.
The Home can accommodate up to 100 children comprising of 70 boys and 30 girls.
We have prepared goodies bags, cake, food, magic show, games and others for the children. Some items like the goodies bags, cake were sponsored by our staff.
We were glad to see the Home was filled with joys that sunny afternoon.
