As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, we are collaborating with One Blue Heart. On our second Corporate Community Service, we gathered at the respective packing centres on 3 August 2019 in Bedok for distribution of Goodwill Food Bags to selected households. We were gathered at the centres at 10.30am to pack food items, and then proceed to distribute the Goodwill Food Bags to 31 households.
The Goodwill Food Bags contained dry and wet food items including biscuits, evaporated milk, sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, bee hoon, Milo, rice, chicken and eggs.
We spent some time to understand the families that we visited. For many of them it was our second visit. We tried to build a relationship with the families. Through our conversations, we learned about their concerns so that we can see if we can help them in any way.
Our company’s sponsorship of Goodwill Food Bags is one of the ways we give back to the society, by helping needy residents to ease their cost of living. We Silicon Connectors pride ourselves not only to do well in our work, but also to be able to do good for our society.
